Ingredients
-
4 lbs Firm tofu
-
12 tbsp Cooking oil
-
2 cup(s) Chicken broth or vegetable broth
-
12 tbsp Soy sauce
-
4 tbsp Oyster sauce
-
4 tsp Organic coconut blossom sugar
-
4 tsp Cornstarch
-
8 piece(s) Garlic cloves
-
4 tbsp Organic sesame seeds
-
8 piece(s) Scallions, chopped
Directions
Wrap tofu block using paper towel to remove as much water as possible.
Cut the tofu block to 4 cm x 4 cm serving size, set aside.
Prepare the sauce using a small bowl, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, gochujang (if you want spicy version), chick broth and cornstarch, stir well.
Use a non-stick pan, add a small amount of cooking oil on medium high heat. Pan-fry on both sides until golden brown and crispy (takes about 6-8 minutes).
Add in minced garlic, and cook for another 1 minute. Then pour the mixed sauce into the pan, cook for another 2 minutes and make sure tofu squares are fully coated with the sauce.
Turn off the heat, and garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds before serving.
