Red bean paste is the perfect way to add a touch of sweetness to your dessert recipes. Made with only two simple ingredients, this sweet and chewy paste is the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Try it in some of your favorite Japanese desserts, or use it as a filling for pastries and cookies. No matter how you choose to enjoy it.

Ingredients
-
2 cups Organic adzuki beans
-
12 cups Water
-
16 tbsp Raw cane sugar
Directions
Soak adzuki beans overnight for at least 8 hours. Rinse next day and drain.
Add soaked adzuki beans and water into a pot, bring to a boil.
Switch to low heat and simmer for 60-90 minutes until beans are extremely soft.
Drain the remaining water and then add sugar. Stir and mash the beans with low-medium heat for 7-8 minutes until the mixture turns into a soft paste. (If you like to make a more smooth paste version, you can blend the mixture in a food processor first, and then cook and stir with low-medium heat until the paste becomes dark and holds in shape).
Transfer the paste to a bowl or container. Let it cool before serving.
